Providers
Who guests book: create and edit providers, keep them internal, set capacity and hours
Open Providers in the sidebar. The menu item and the page carry the word your business uses, in a massage studio for example Therapists, in a hotel Rooms (see the overview). Only the owner sees this page. Whatever you save here applies straight away on the booking page and in the calendar.
The list
Section titled “The list”Above the list it says how many there are, for example “3 Therapists”. Each row shows a colour dot, the name and the status Bookable online or Internal only. From six entries on, a search field appears that filters the list by name.
Tapping a row opens the edit panel. You add a new entry with “+ Add …”; the button uses your word, for example “+ Add Therapist”. The new entry takes over the opening hours of the first entry that has some. Guests only see it once you have saved.
Editing a provider
Section titled “Editing a provider”The panel shows the name at the top and below it, row by row, what you can set. On the left it says what the row is for, on the right is the field.
| Row | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | “Shown to guests”. Without a name the panel does not save and reports “Please enter a name for each space”. If your business offers several languages, there is one field per language with a short code in front, for example DE and EN. Guests see the name in their language. |
| Status | “Bookable on the website”. With Bookable online ticked, guests can choose them on the booking page. Unticked, the entry is called Internal only, see below. |
| Photo (optional) | “Shown on the website”. “Upload” takes JPG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MB. The panel scales the image down to at most 1,200 pixels wide and saves it as WebP. In the field below you can paste the address of an image that is already online instead. Without a photo it says “No image”, and the booking page shows the first letter of the name. |
| Colour (optional) | Next to it it says “Marker in the calendar”. So far the colour only shows as the dot in front of the name in this list. |
| Description (optional) | “Short intro text”, one field per language. It appears on the booking page below the name when guests choose the provider first (Chapter 2). |
| Capacity (optional) | “How many bookings at once”, see 12.1. |
| Opening hours (optional) | “When available”. Folded, it lists the working days in short, for example “Mo · Tu · We”, or “None set” without any. Unfolded you find the same days, time windows and “+ Add a break” as on the Availability page (Chapter 13). Both pages edit the same hours. |
At the bottom of the panel are “Save” and “Delete”. Only “Save” writes your changes; the panel then reports “Saved” and closes. If two time windows of a day overlap, it does not save and names the weekday. The ✕ at the top closes the panel without saving anything yet.
Internal only
Section titled “Internal only”If you untick Bookable online, the provider disappears from the booking page. Their appointments stay in the calendar and in the bookings list, and you handle them as usual. Guests who already have an appointment with them can no longer reschedule it online, but they can still cancel. This suits a therapist on parental leave, for example, or a room under renovation.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”“Delete” asks “Really delete this space?” and removes the entry at once. If it still has appointments from today on that are not cancelled, the button is locked and next to it it says “Has bookings, deactivate instead of deleting.” This means the Bookable online tick.
Do not delete even if only past appointments are attached. The bookings list then shows an internal ID instead of the name for those appointments. Internal only keeps the name.
Reset to default
Section titled “Reset to default”At the very bottom of the page is “Reset to default”. After the question “Reset all spaces to the default configuration?” the list miraTEQ set up for your business applies again, with its names, photos, colours, descriptions, capacity and status. Entries you created yourself disappear, deleted ones come back. The opening hours stay as you last saved them.
12.1 Capacity
Section titled “12.1 Capacity”The capacity sets how much a provider takes on at the same time. An empty field shows “∞”, but it means one booking at a time. Next to it you choose what is counted:
| Counting mode | Hint in the panel | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| People / seats | “Total number of guests per time slot.” It counts the guests of all bookings that overlap in time. | Classes, areas of a restaurant |
| Bookings at once | “How many bookings can run at the same time.” Each booking counts once, however many guests it has. | Rooms with several massage beds, private rooms |
Pending and confirmed appointments count, cancelled ones do not. A closed time (Chapter 13) or an entry from your connected calendar (Chapter 16.3) blocks the provider completely, however much room would be left.
12.2 Rooms for hotels and homestays
Section titled “12.2 Rooms for hotels and homestays”If your business books stays with check-in and check-out, this page is called Rooms and each entry is a room type. Under Capacity you only enter how many rooms of this type you have. The panel says: “How many rooms of this type there are. Each takes one booking per night.” That holds whether one guest sleeps in it or four.
How many guests fit into a room and what a night costs is set up for you by miraTEQ. Neither appears on this page, and both stay as they are when you save. The booking page does not accept a larger group for that room.
Online, a guest books one room per booking. A group that needs two rooms books twice, one after the other.
