What a brand is in the catalog system, and how to set one up
2.1 What is a brand
Section titled “2.1 What is a brand”Every document (catalog, brochure, or datasheet) always belongs to exactly one brand. A brand is the top-level group that splits your products by manufacturer or product line. On the website, each brand appears as a header bar that customers tap open to see its documents (see Chapter 4).
2.2 Brand logo
Section titled “2.2 Brand logo”Each brand can have a logo (optional). The logo appears next to the brand name in the download bar’s header, helping customers spot a familiar brand at a glance.
- Without a logo, the header simply shows the brand name as text.
- Logo files should have a transparent background (PNG or WebP) so they fit the website’s design in any layout.
2.3 Adding or editing brands
Section titled “2.3 Adding or editing brands”You do this yourself, in the brand bar on the left of the Produkt-Manager. Press Edit to enter management mode, and each brand gains a few small controls:
| Button/icon | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⠿ (handle on the left) | Drag to reorder brands |
| Square photo frame | Upload or change the brand logo |
| Pencil icon | Rename the brand |
| Trash icon | Delete the brand |
At the bottom of the bar, type a name and press + to add a new brand. Press Done to leave management mode.
2.4 Brand display order
Section titled “2.4 Brand display order”Brands appear on the website in exactly the order they have in the brand bar, not alphabetically. Drag a brand by its handle to move your main line to the top.
