Set booking rules, opening hours with breaks, and closed days
Open Availability in the sidebar. This is where you decide when guests can book: the rules for everyone at the top, the opening hours below them, and the closed days at the bottom. Only the owner sees this page.
Global Settings
Section titled “Global Settings”| Setting | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Slot duration (min) | How long an appointment is when the guest does not choose a treatment with its own length. If they choose treatments, their durations are added up. | 60 → appointments from 18:00 to 19:00. |
| Buffer (min) | The gap between two offered start times, on top of the duration. | Slot duration 30, buffer 10 → 09:00, 09:40, 10:20 … |
| Max advance booking (days) | How far ahead guests can book. Later days are blocked in the calendar of the booking page. | 30 → guests book up to a month ahead. |
| Change deadline (h before) | Until how many hours before the appointment guests can cancel or reschedule through their manage link (Chapter 2.5). Below it: “0 = guests can cancel/reschedule at any time.” | 24 → the guest can change an appointment on Friday at 18:00 until Thursday at 18:00. |
If miraTEQ has set fixed start times for your business, those apply, and the buffer does not change the times on offer. Massage studios usually have this, with start times on the hour and half hour.
Opening Hours per Day
Section titled “Opening Hours per Day”Below the rules there is one card per person or area, with their name as the heading. Each card lists the seven days of the week:
- The tick in front of a day makes it a working day. Without the tick the day is a day off, and guests find no times there.
- Next to it are the start and end, in steps of a quarter of an hour.
- “+ Add a break” splits the day into two time windows. If the lunch hour from 12:00 to 13:00 fits, the panel puts the break there, otherwise one hour in the middle. You can then change both windows freely. A window shorter than two hours cannot be split; the panel says “This time window is too short for a break (at least 2 hours).”
- From the second window on, a bin icon sits next to it, “Remove time window”.
Then press “Save changes”. If two windows on the same day overlap, or an end lies before its start, the panel does not save and names the day.
Closing single days
Section titled “Closing single days”For a holiday, a training day or a day off at short notice, close the day instead of changing the opening hours. Press “Close a day”, either in the card Closed days at the bottom of this page or in the calendar’s toolbar. From the calendar, the day you are looking at is already filled in.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| For whom | Everyone, or one person, for example a therapist on holiday. The field only appears if your business has more than one person or area. |
| Date | The day. Tick Several days in a row and a second date appears, “until”. |
| All day | On by default. Switch it off to close only part of the day, from and to in 15-minute steps. |
| Reason (optional) | “Only shows in your calendar. Guests never see it.” |
The button says what will happen: “Close this day”, or “Close 5 days” for a period. If there are appointments in that time already, the note “There are already appointments here” comes first, with their number. The appointments stay and are not cancelled. “Close anyway” closes the day, and you let those guests know yourself. If some days of the period were closed already, the panel says something like “4 days closed, 1 were already closed.”
The card Closed days lists every closure with its date or period, the times or “all day”, and the reason. Remove asks “Remove the whole closure?” and reopens the whole period. To reopen a single day of a period, use the calendar: tap the closed time there and choose “Reopen this day only” (the panel asks “Reopen this day?”) or “Remove the whole closure”.
In the calendar, a closed time shows as Closed, an entry from your connected calendar (Chapter 16.3) as External appointment.
Only the owner can close days. Hotels and homestays book nights rather than time slots, so the button and the card do not appear there.
