Adding and Editing Documents
How to add, edit, or remove catalogs, brochures, and datasheets
3.1 What makes up a document
Section titled “3.1 What makes up a document”Each document in the catalog system consists of the following information:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Document title | Yes | The name customers see on the website, for example a model or product name |
| Brand | Yes | Chosen from the brand list already configured (see Chapter 2) |
| Type | Yes | Catalog / Brochure / Datasheet, determines the colored label shown on the website |
| PDF file | Yes | The file customers will open or download |
| Preview image | Optional | A cover image. You usually do not need to supply one: when you upload a PDF, the system renders its first page into a preview automatically. Upload your own only if you want a different cover |
3.2 Adding a new document
Section titled “3.2 Adding a new document”- Open the Produkt-Manager: Log into miraCMS and select your project. Open the “Product Catalog” section.
- Click “+ New Document”: A form opens, split into two sections: Catalog info (title, brand, type) and Files (PDF and preview image).
- Fill in the details and upload files: Enter the document title, choose the brand and type, then upload the PDF file.
- Save: The document appears in the list immediately and goes live on the website once the site rebuilds (see Chapter 5).
3.3 Editing an existing document
Section titled “3.3 Editing an existing document”Tap a document’s card in the list to reopen the same form. Edit whichever field needs changing (for example a new title, a newer PDF version, or adding a preview image that was missing), then save.
3.4 Deleting a document
Section titled “3.4 Deleting a document”Open the document card’s menu and choose “Delete”. The document disappears from the website as soon as the site rebuilds.
3.5 Ordering documents within a brand
Section titled “3.5 Ordering documents within a brand”Drag document cards in the list to reorder them. This order matches exactly how documents are displayed on the website within that brand, useful for pushing your most popular or most recent documents to the top.
