Editing the text on your website

What the text editor does, and how it differs from the product manager

8.1 miraCMS has two halves

So far this handbook was about your catalogue: dishes, treatments, products. The second half of miraCMS is the text on your website — the headline on the front page, the paragraph about your business, the label on a button.

Both sit behind the same login at cms.mirateq.com. You are not switching programs, only areas.

8.2 What you change yourself

• Headlines and paragraphs on every page
• Button labels such as “Book now” or “See the menu”
• Short details such as opening hours or a notice at the top of a page
• Text in several languages, each on its own (chapter 13)

8.3 What stays with the miraTEQ team

The look of your site is not part of the text editor: font sizes, colours, spacing, the order of the sections. Neither is creating new pages.

Whether you can swap images yourself depends on how your site is built. Ask us if you are not sure.

Not every site is ready yet

The text editor works with websites built on the new system. Older sites are being moved over one by one. If you cannot see this area, your site is not there yet — tell us if you need it.

You cannot break anything

You only ever edit the text itself, never what surrounds it. And until you press Publish, no visitor sees any of it. Chapter 11 explains exactly how that works.
