Comments
Pin a note to a spot on your page, reply to it, and close it
14.1 What comments are for
Section titled “14.1 What comments are for”An email saying “the second paragraph on the about page, the sentence with the opening hours” takes three replies to sort out. A comment sits on the exact spot instead, and we see it in the same place.
14.2 Pinning a comment
Section titled “14.2 Pinning a comment”- Set the switch above the preview to “Comment”
- Click the spot in the preview. On the right, “Comment on this spot” opens and quotes the text that sits there
- Write into the box what should be different (“What should be different here?”)
- If a picture says more: drag a screenshot or a PDF into the box, or paste a screenshot with ⌘V
- Press “Pin comment”
The comment gets a number, and the same number marks the spot in the preview.
14.3 Replying and closing
Section titled “14.3 Replying and closing”All comments are listed in the tab “Comments” of the edit panel, with the number of open ones next to it. Click one to open it. Below it you can reply (“Reply …”) and send it with “Reply”.
When a point is settled, press “Done”. It stays in the list and can come back with “Reopen”. “Delete” removes it for good. The field “Status” above the list filters, for example to show only the open ones.
14.4 Who sees your comments
Section titled “14.4 Who sees your comments”Your comments go to the miraTEQ team. Notes from us that are meant for you appear in the same list.
14.5 Comments without signing in
Section titled “14.5 Comments without signing in”miraTEQ can send you a link that opens your website for comments, with no username and no password. It reads “Your comments on the website” at the top and offers “View” and “Comment”. Texts cannot be changed through it.
The link has no expiry date. It stops working when we switch it off or send you a new one. Treat it like a key: share it only with people who should comment on your website.
